Substrate Preparation / Application
- The substrate should be solid, firm, dry and free from laitance, dust and dirt. All loose concrete shall be removed. Cracks and honeycomb shall be repaired prior waterproofing application.
- For the substrate that is very porous, it may be necessary to prime twice.
- For priming layer, apply the first coat of ActivePrime 109, allow it to dry for 30min before applying torch-on or self-adhesive membrane.
- For waterproofing layer, apply the first coat of ActivePrime 109 in one direction and second coat in alternate direction. Allow the first coat to dry ~1 hour before applying the second coat. Allow second coat to cure for 24 hours before carrying out any water ponding test.
Consumption
- For priming layer, to achieve thickness of 0.2mm, the consumption rate is approximately 0.4kg per sqm.
- For waterproofing layer, to achieve thickness of 0.5mm, the consumption rate is approximately 1.0kg per sqm.
Product Information
- The material must be stored in original and unopened packaging and must be stored in a dry location.
- ActivePrime 109 comes in 20kg or 25kg pail.
