Physical Properties
Product Features
- Fast drying, reduces application time
- Single component, seamless and can be applied directly.
- UV resistance, elastomeric and flexible.
- High tensile strength and elongation properties.
- Excellent bond strength on most substrate even without primer.
- Excellent water resistance and corrosion resistance.
- Available in multiple colours.
Substrate Preparation / Application
- The substrate should be solid, firm, free from laitance, dust and dirt. All loose concrete shall be removed. Cracks and honeycomb shall be repaired prior waterproofing application.
- Apply primer if the substrate is porous or the application environment is subject to high humidity. ActiveSeal 300 can be diluted with 10% water to use as primer.
- For critical areas such as construction joints, pipes penetration or interfacing between two different substrate materials, apply reinforcement mesh in between coats.
- Apply the first coat of ActiveSeal 300 in one direction and second coat in alternate direction. Allow the first coat to dry 2-3 hours before applying the second coat. Allow 2nd coat to cure for 24 hours before carrying out any water ponding test.
Types of Substrates
- Metal Roof – Solvent based primer with 2 coats of ActiveSeal 300.
- Roof tiles – Self prime with ActiveSeal 300 with 2 coats of ActiveSeal 300.
- RC Roof (with water ponding issue) – We recommend using ActiveSeal 309.
- RC Roof with gradient to fall – Self prime with ActiveSeal 300 + 1 coat of ActiveSeal 300 + reinforcement mesh + 1 body coat of ActiveSeal 300 + 1 finishing coat of ActiveSeal 300.
- Vertical wall – Self prime with ActiveSeal 300 with 2 coats of ActiveSeal 300.
Consumption
- The consumption rate is approximately 0.4kg – 0.6kg per coat. 1 coat estimated 0.5mm WFT.
