Substrate Preparation / Application
- The substrate should be solid, firm, dry and free from laitance, dust and dirt. All loose concrete shall be removed. Cracks and honeycomb shall be repaired prior waterproofing application.
- Apply Bituminous primer and allow touch dry before applying ActiveTorch 609M.
- Unroll, align and re-roll correctly before torching.
- Use a gas burner to heat the backing film on the underside of membrane. When the backing film starts to melt, the membrane is ready to stick.
- Succeeding rolls are aligned and overlapped 100mm minimum at both side and end laps.
- Roll the membrane forward and press firmly against the substrate to bond.
- Ensure a bead of melted bitumen is visible along the full length of the overlap sides and ends when laying.
Product Information
- The material must be stored in original and unopened packaging and must be stored in a dry location.
- ActiveTorch 609M comes in green or grey mineral finishes. Roll size: 1.0m x 10m.
